Saver from Screen

Saver from Screen is a mobile robot created in response to a world filled with screens. Phones, laptops, tablets, billboards, kiosks, and public displays constantly compete for our attention, leaving little room for the eyes to rest. This project proposes a small intervention: a moving object that redirects attention away from digital surfaces and back into physical space. Inspired by the bouncing DVD logo, the robot moves across the floor as if reflecting off invisible screen edges, creating a familiar yet uncanny presence. It reimagines the idea of a screensaver: instead of protecting a screen, it offers temporary relief from one. As a quiet and playful distraction, Saver from Screen invites people to look away, pause, and briefly reconnect with the space around them.
